Biography

John Henry King was born on Sept. 13, 1890 in Georgia. His parents were Martin Ambrose King and Mary Rebecca "Polly Ann" Williams King.

According to the 1900 Census, he was living in the household of his parents and siblings in Smithfield, Carroll County, Georgia. According to the census, he was attending school and could read and write. The census stated that he and his parents were born in Georgia.

On the 1910 Census, he was found still living in Smithfield, Carroll County, Georgia with his parents and siblings. He was working as a farm laborer on the family farm, and he did not attend school. This census stated that he and his parents were born in Georgia.

According to the 1920 Census, John Henry King was living in Haralson County, Georgia with his wife, Viola Smith King, and children. He was working as a farmer on a general farm.

On the 1930 Census, John Henry King was living in Buncombe, Haralson County, Georgia with his wife, Viola, and their children. He was a farmer.

According to the 1940 Census, John Henry King was living in Haralson County, Georgia with his wife, Viola Smith King, and two of their children. He still worked as a farmer.

He died on August 27, 1953 in Georgia. He was buried at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, Tallapoosa, Haralson County, Georgia, USA.
