Biography
The daughter of William Kelley and his second wife, Mary (Alexander) Kelley, Margaret was born in Pine Township in 1853.[citation needed] She lived there with her family.[1] In 1870, her family lived in Grant Township, in Benton County.[2] Margaret Kelley married Albert Allen Knaur (1852-1930), the son of Simon G. Knaur and Louisa Jane Dawson, marrying in Benton County on October 29, 1874,[3] and having two children together.
They headed west: in 1880, they farmed in Denison, Texas, in Grayson County;[4] however, by 1900, they had returned east and were farming in Kankakee County, Illinois.[5] In 1910, they resided in Momence Township.[6] She passed away in Momence Township at the age of 76.[7]
