Lake-1774 Steve Lake
The Lake Mansion Collection is in my possession. Contributors were the three generations of residents from 1906 to 1998.

These ladies were members of The Avalon Club, which was an organization that promoted social interaction and intellectual topics. It may have met monthly for many years and probably had a series of leaders and a long roster of members. In this photo are Nell Corliss Lake, her sister Rhoda on the left, her cousin Sadie on the right and a niece Reuberta behind her. Lois Ferwitz and Mrs. Butts were neighbors. This club was still meeting during the years Irene Folk Lake lived in the house.
