Biography

Clara was born in 1852 in London. She was the daughter of Thomas Hughes and Anne Last (Hughes/Eastwood).

Clara immigrated to NZ as a child, along with her siblings, mother Anne and stepfather.

She married a scotsman, William King, on the West coast of NZ in 1869. ^[1]They had 10 children

She passed away in Taranaki in 1918. ^[2]
