Biography

Birth

Thomas was born in about 1800 in Chadlington, Oxfordshire.

Marriage

Thomas Huckin and Mary Savage were married after banns on 25th October 1830 at St Mary the Virgin, Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire[1] Thomas was from the parish of Chadlington whilst Mary was from Chipping Norton. Neither could write so they both made their mark on the register with a cross. Banns were the three weeks ending 10th October 1830 at Chadlington.

Thomas and Mary had 9 children of whom three died as infants.

Huckin-58 and Huckin-33 appear to represent the same person because: Primary reason for merging seems (to me) to be they have the same person as wife

Note sent to profile manager as this Thomas is the wrong age for either the husband of Mary Savage (b 1801 as per the census) or the husband of Rebecca Adkins (aged 18 at time of marriage in 1848 according to marriage register). For now I have created all the children for Thomas and Mary and will sort out the right Thomas for each wife once PM has confirmed that she is OK with me making the changes (or will do it herself).

I agree with Sarah that this "family" has some problems: if nothing else, it's hard to see how Edward (birth registered Jan-Mar quarter of 1849, MMN Adkins) and Reuben (birth registered Oct-Dec quarter of 1849, MMN Savage) can share a father.
