Biography

William was born in Gravesend, England about 1889. He is the son of Joshua Hosler. He passed away in South Australia about 1973.

William married Jane Munt in Port Adelaide, South Australia on 17 December 1912.^[1]

William served in the Australian Army during the First World War. He enlisted in South Australia on 3 January 1916, and was given the rank of Private in the 43rd Battalion, C Company. He departed with his unit from Adelaide, South Australia for Europe on HMAT A19 Afric on 9 June 1916. He returned to Australia on 8 January 1919.^[2]

William died in South Australia on 21 May 1973 at the age of 83 years.^[3]

William's remains were cremated, and interred at the Centennial Park Cemetery in Pasadena, South Australia on 8 June 1973.^[4][5]
