William Robert Hodde was born June 14, 1916 near Golden City and died July 30 at Marshall, Mo. at the age of 39 years, 1 month and 16 days. Due to an injury, Billy spent all his life under the handicap of cerebral palsy, and the latter 27 years attended the Marshall School for Disabled Persons.
Billy was the son of William and Mary Brunner Hodde, both of whom preceded him in death.
Surviving are his stepmother, Mrs. Cora Hodde of Kennewick, Washington, and three brothers and three sisters. They are Mrs. A.F. Wissbrod of Seattle, Washington, Mrs. Joe E. Harper of National City, California, Mrs. Clifford T. Flaten of Kennewick, Washington, Charles W. Hodde and Henry F. Hodde, both of Colville, Washington, and Ralph Hodde of Miller, Mo. Also surviving are a number of other close relatives.
