Biography

Marie H. Wissbrod, 84, a resident of Lacey, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 1990, in Panorama City Convalescent Center, Lacey (WA).

She was born April 4, 1905, to William and Mary (Brunner) Hodde in Golden City, MO. In 1939, she was married to Arthur Wissbrod in Seattle. He died in 1982. Mrs. Wissbrod was employed by the Grange Insurance Co, Seattle, for many years.

She was a member of the Girl Scouts, Rainer Valley, and Lacy Community Church. She also was a 50-year member of Northside Grange, Seattle. She and her husband belonged to the Rose Society and raised roses and chrysanthemums competitively.

Surviving are two brothers, Charles Hodde, Olympia, and Henry Hodde, Wenatchee; two sisters, Dorothy Harper, Arlington, Texas, and Kathryn Flaten, Bosie, Idaho, also many nieces and nephews.
