In 1575 Margaret's husband inherited Westbury, Buckinghamshire from his brother John. There followed a legal dispute which seems to have been resolved by 1587 when the manor was settled on Margaret and her husband for life and their heirs thereafter.[1][2][4]
Henry Howell died on 12 July 1625, leaving his wife a life interest in Westbury.[5] On 31 October 1626 Margaret was recorded at North Aston, Oxfordshire. Her death date and county are not known, but on 8 June 1638 her son Edward sold Westbury, suggesting that she had died by then.[1][2][5]
