Dear Doug,

Following discussion within the England project and the G2G discussion about the Strattons of Easthampton and the lack of evidence (instead counter evidence) that they came from London, I have begun updating the profiles One outstanding matter is we need to change the LNAB of these profiles to

Stretton

The involved profiles are:

Stratton-387 Stratton-388 Stratton-389 Stratton-390 Stratton-392 Stratton-393 Stratton-395

If you prefer i’m happy to do the LNAB changes if you add me to the trusted list of the profiles

With thanks Andrew

Hi Doug,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Pre-1700 ancestors can be shared by many descendants, so collaboration is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

The Connecticut Project may fit your research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find other possibilities. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

Have questions? Ask in the comments section of my profile.

Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).

Doug,

What source do you have for Susanna Mitchell-2711's profile as Clark. Please check her husband's profile with discussion and possibility she was daughter of Samuel Clarke. Sharon

I am writing about the profile for Samuel Clark, Sr. I have spent a great deal of work clarifying Samuel Clark, Jr. (Clark-9611) and Hannah Tuttle (Tuttle-70), who are my 8th GGPs. I have received and communicated with wiki-member Todd Stanton, who has been indicating that Clark-9611 and Clark-553 are they same person. I believe they are not. Today he has not only made the assertion about these two Clarks, he is suggesting changes to Clark-9611's parents (Samuel Clark, Sr. and Hannah Fordham) for which there IS documentation.

I have requested that we please hold off on changing or merging anything. There is documentation that 9611 is the son of Samuel Clark, Sr. (Clark-2048) and Hannah Fordham (Fordham-47) daughter of Rev. Robert Fordham. Someone posted a newspaper clipping on Clark-553 profile and there is mis-information. It indicates that he married Hannah Lane, daughter of John and Katherine (Tuttle) Lane! Take a look at the clipping posted for Clark-553, 2nd column top of page (citation is Gen & Fam Hx. of Clarks of CT by Wm. R. Cutter 1311-1312). Why is this nuts?Because Cutter indicates Samuel Sr. (Clark-553) -the son of James Clark- married Hannah Lane, daughter of John and Katharine (Tuttle) Lane! I think this person conflated information on two different Samuel Clarks. Thank you (Baldwin-3428). I do not know how to add the contact or thank you at the bottom of my comments. Thank you for any assistance!

Hi Doug. I proposed a merge of Gardiner-387 and Gardiner-555. Actually, it looks like it wants to merge 387 into 555. It would be better if we merged 555 into 387. For some reason, I couldn't find that choice tonight. Can you figure that out?

Thanks, Angela

My hobby is genealogy and I have compiled the information in my files from various family sources and research. I look forward to working with other like minded individuals to make sure this is as accurate as possible.
