Biography

Magdeleine Helene Granger, daughter of Jean Baptiste Granger and Susanne Cormier, was born c.1780-c.1786 in Opelousas, Louisiana. Her parents were recorded and her birth location was implied on her marriage record. She was described there as their "major" daughter.

Magdeleine married Charles Simon, son of Jean Baptiste Simon and Magdeleine Aucoin, on 2 June 1807 by the priest at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, Louisiana.[1]

They had the following known children:

  8. Marguerite Simon (1823-1824)
  9. Carmelite Simon (25 December 1825-1900)
