Biography
Laurent Gontier was born on August 11, 1787 in Saint-Charles de Bellechasse, Province de Québec, son of Gabriel Gonthier (1749–1811) and Marie Josephe Élie (1751–~1830).[1]
Laurent (24) married Angélique Royer (21) (born on April 29, 1790 in Saint-Charles de Bellechasse; daughter of Jean Baptiste Royer and Marie Felicite Lepage) on February 3, 1812 in Saint-Charles de Bellechasse, Bas-Canada.[2] Their daughter was Marie Angélique Gonthier (1817–1881).
