Biography

She was christened on 20 Nov 1642 in Salem, Massachusetts and her parents were Elizabeth and Thomas Goldthwaite.

Elizabeth Goldthwaite married in September 1660 to John King (son of Dorothy and William King) and they had five sons and three daughters.

Her father gave them land next west of his, where they homesteaded. It remained in their family until it was sold in 1733 by their grandson, Samuel King, Jr., to David Goldthwaite.

Her husband was a cooper, as was also their oldest son, John, as well as others of their family.

On 09 Sep 1714 she and her husban witnessed the last Will of Samuel Goldthwaite.

Her husband died before 20 Jan 1715 and she died before 31 Dec 1718.

Research Notes

In 1659 a Thomas Goldthwaite owned land in the Northfields of Salem, MA.

In 1787 a Samuel Goldthwait owned another parcel of Northfields land.
