Biography

Tommaso Gagliano, son of Luciano Gagliano and Santa Saporito, marries Luigia Ferraro, daughter of Giorgio Ferraro and the late Maria Streva, on 9 November 1845.^[1]

Thomas (Tommaso) Gagliano and Aloysia (Luigia) Ferraro have at least three children together: Luciano (1853), Giovanni (c. 1853), and Filippo (c. 1872).

Luciano and Giovanni marry sisters. Luciano's birth information is known from the civil record of his marriage. I have estimated Giovanni and Filippo are each twenty years old when he marries.

According to the baptismal record in his 1880 marriage publication, Luciano Gagliano is born at 5AM on 24 July 1853 and baptized the same day as Lucianum. His godparents are his maternal uncle Antonino Ferraro and Benedicta Cinquemani, a married couple.

Giovanni marries Antonia Oliveri on 29 September 1873.

Luciano marries Lucia Oliveri, Antonia's sister, on 29 September 1880.

Filippo marries Vincenza Scalisi, daughter of Giovanni Scalisi and Mattea Oliveri, on 2 October 1892. Mattea is a second cousin of Antonia and Lucia. His parents are both still living.
