Biography

Thomas Ellis was born June 1611 in Broughton Yorkshire near Skipton and was baptized at Skipton June 16/1611. His father was James Ellis; his mother was unfortunately NOT identified on 2 different versions of the marriage archive.

Thomas married Jennett Armistead in Gargrave, just north of Broughton and west of Skipton on July 16/1632. They had several children including a daughter Mary Ellis b Dec 1642 in Rylstone, just north of Skipton.
