Biography
Valentin Després was born on 15 Dec 1842 and baptized on 29 Jan 1843 in Cocagne, New Brunswick, the son of Louis Després and Perpétue Robichaud.[1][2] His godparents were Aimé Robichaud and Henriette Melançon.
In the 1861 census Valentine (age 18) was listed with his parents and siblings in Dundas, Kent, New Brunswick.[3]
