Biography

Louis Després was born on 27 Nov 1818 and baptized on 7 Jan 1819 in Cocagne, New Brunswick, son of Honoré Despres and Marie Goguen.^[1][2]

Louis married Perpétue Robichaud on 22 Jan 1839 in Richibouctou.^[3] Louis was from Cocagne and Perpétue was from Bouctouche. Witnesses were Denys Robichaud and Thaddée Landry. Their children were:

In the 1861 census Luis (age 44) was in Dundas, Kent, New Brunswick.^[4]

He died on 29 Dec 1868 and was buried two days later in Cocagne.^[5][6] His age noted in the parish register was 49 years.
