John Thomas Dennison was born about July 1850 in Suffern, Ramapo, Rockland County, New York, United States, son of Samuel Patrick Dennison and Mary Jane Morgan.^[1]

In 1860, John (age 8) was in Ramapo, Rockland County, New York.^[2]

John married Sarah E Peterson.^[1] They had children.

John married Anna S Earles, daughter of George W Harding and Mary Burrs, on September 20, 1917 in Rockland County, New York. Their residence at the time of marriage was Hillburn, Ramapo, Rockland County.^[1][13]
