Elizabeth was born in 1743. She passed away in 1797.[1] She was the daughter of William Dancy and Mary Mason.
“Apparently soon after Holman Southall of Charles City county married Elizabeth Dancy in 1760 he moved to Halifax county in North Carolina, just across the Virginia border from his father-in-law’s home in Sussex county; because thereafter we never hear of him again in Virginia. Some of his descendants, we know, found their way to Alabama and Mississippi and attained considerable local prominence.
“Holman’s younger brother, Furneau Southall was also one of the leading citizens of Charles City county during the Revolutionary era.” [more] [2]

I agree with Sarah's comment below and in fact there is a further duplicate (ID Dancy-35), since it seems that there are 2 Elizabeths attributed to the same family and both alive at the same time. So there is Dancy-68, Dancy-206, and Dancy-35, all children of Mary Mason and William Dancy of Virginia
Is it likely thatwill check ID & insert here ) a family would have 2 living children with the same n206) and the other Elizabeth attributed to this family (ID Dancy-ame (Elizabeth)? I suggest that this Elizabeth (ID Dancy-35) are duplicates. The same Elizabeth could have married twice. There is also a further duplication with another profile existing - Elizabeth (Dancy) Southhall (ID Dancy-68) It needs some tidying up!
Dancy-206 and Dancy-68 appear to represent the same person because: Elizabeth Dancy, born in Albemarle Parish, Surry/Sussex Co., VA. Albemarle Parish was in Surry Co., VA, until Sussex Co., VA, was formed in 1754 - at that point, Albemarle Parish was in Sussex Co., VA.
