Joseph was born on 12 Feb 1794 in Stockwell, Surrey, England.^[1] Source: ^{[2] [3]}

Joseph married Maria on 17 Aug 1819 in the Quaker Meeting Room, Staines (RG6/542). At the time of their marriage Joseph was living in Hemel Hempstead and his father also Joseph was deceased.

He died on 24 Nov 1878 at East Lodge, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.
