VanKouwenhoven-5 and Couwenhoven-38 appear to represent the same person because: This is the oldest paternal ancestor in this chain in need of a merge into the NNS PPP. No tree conflicts. Thanks!
Couvenhoven-1 and Couwenhoven-38 appear to represent the same person because: This is the oldest paternal ancestor in this chain in need of a merge into the NNS PPP. No tree conflicts. Add aka Couvenhoven. Thanks!
Cowenhoven-1 and Couwenhoven-38 appear to represent the same person because: This is the oldest paternal ancestor in this chain in need of a merge into the new NNS PPP. No tree conflicts. Thanks!
I am going to move this Cornelius Cowenhoven-1 forward to NNS, because the merges have already been completed and the name without the Van prefix seems to be consistent for him. His own spelling is typically Cowenhoven, Couwenhoven, or Covenhoven.
Most of his children are girls, so the descent continuation of the name is not critical. His one son, William, also shows with the same three variants noted above. But William's children in turn show as Couwenhoven and Covenhoven.
So we need to be a bit cautious, but there appears to be a general transition of the male line of future generations being Covenhoven on this particular descendant line from Cornelius and his son William.
