Edgar William Couch was born on June 21, 1842 in Mobile, Alabama, United States, [1] son of Alexander B Couch (~1814–1882) and Rebecca Ann Wilkinson (~1820–1899).

In 1850, Edgar (8) was living in Baldwin County, Alabama. [2]

In 1860, Edgar (18) was living in Mobile County, Alabama. [3]

Edgar (25) married Mary Ellen Myer (17) (born on March 5, 1850 in Mount Sterling, Choctaw, Alabama; daughter of Solomon Myer and Amanda (Alexander) Myer) on November 19, 1867 in Shubuta, Clarke. County, Mississippi. [4] Their children were:

In 1870, Edgar (28) was living in Clarke County, Mississippi. [5]

In 1900, Edgar (58) was living in Ellisville, Jones County, Mississippi. [6]

In 1910, Edgar (68) was living in Ellisville, Jones. [7]

Edgar died on November 4, 1915 in Nashville, Davidson, Tennessee, United States, aged 73. He was buried in Oaklawn Cemetery, Hattiesburg, Forrest County, Mississippi.[8] [9]
