Marie Modeste Cormier was born about 1798 in Margaree, Nova Scotia.[1]

Marie Modeste Cormier appears in the Acadian Census of 1809, for Margaree. She was living in the household of her mother, Isabelle Boudrot, the widow of Guillaume Cormier[2]

Marie Modeste Cormier appears in the St Michael Parish of Margaree marriage records as the daughter of Guillaume Cormier (deceased) and Isabelle Boudrot. She married Celestin LeBlanc, the son of Hilaire LeBlanc and Scholastique LeBlanc (deceased) on Apr 26, 1819[3].
