When I was at Scotland for a trip and wedding with futur wifey Kairene Parent MacKay... I looked around about my surname Vincent and what can I find about history, stories... I found that by Surname I am allowed to wear one Kilt in particulary. Ulster Red, Ulster Modern and Ulster Gold.

That was the kick start of everything!

... I discovered so much stuff!

Hi Patrick,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Hi Patrick! It's great that you're adding to our shared family tree. I'd ask, in cases like https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Benoit-273 that, when you add text to a biography, you also add sources. Primary sources, like birth, marriage and death records, are absolutely critical to what we do. Copying and pasting from another site isn't enough.

I've moved that text to "research notes" because it's probably a good place to begin looking for sources.

Hi Brad,

I will try hard to find where I found that picture. Algorithm in my exclusive DNA / Genealogy PC will help me to find again that picture and the source.

Thank you for your help and to move to "research notes".

Hi Patrick. I see you've found the Newfoundland project. It's great if you want to participate, but please clear any changes you make to the project pages in G2G first.

In particular, please don't edit categories. If you change the text in a category, you end up breaking them.

Hello Again,

You've been a member of WikiTree for about a week now so I thought I would check in to see how it's going. Have the How-Tos been helpful or left you with questions?

I want to help! Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page or send me a private message. Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

PS Have you noticed on your ancestor profiles on bottom right is "Research" where you can get sources and more information? Give it a try! For profiles for living people, just go to this link. RootsSearch

P. S. I see that you are following the MacDhuibhinse, McAvinchy, and Vincent surname tags. By clicking on the tags you follow, you can see which other members share your interests. You may find a long-lost cousin!

Thank you Deb...

After all that time I see that we are not related to that surnames... But from information I received of Kilts Makers in Scotland. I have the rights to wear few tartans from Eire, link to my name.

Also,,, If Daniel LeBlanc is prove one day his more Scotish that French by DNA... Maybe, all that situation will change... Still I feel more Irish than anything... I think it's the point! Drinking Dark Beers, Haggis and eating mash potatoes...

Thank you!
