The 1962 Senate hearing on the mafia names "Mr. Vincent" Collura and says was born in Corleone on 20 May 1898, the son of Vincenzo Collura and Domenica Criscione.[1]
There is no baptism record in Corleone in the dates around and for two months after 20 May 1898. He is born the following year.
Vincenzo Collura is born 20 May 1899 and baptized the next day. He is the son of Vincenzo Collura and Domenica Criscione. His godparents are Biagio and Domenica di Fulco, father and daughter.[2]
Vincenzo marries Maria Antonina Quaglino, daughter of Filippo Quaglino and Barbara Zimbardi, on 26 November 1922.[3]
He emigrates to the US in 1936 and became part of the local underworld.[1]
Vincenzo returns to Corleone after World War II to help lead the newly reorganized mafia there.[4] From this time, Vincenzo is known as "Mister Vincent" because he lived in the United States.[5][6]
Dr. Michele Navarra is designated boss, Collura underboss, and Luciano Leggio consigliere. Collura aspires to leadership and with his allies, including Leggio, they make war against Navarra.[4]
According to Bill Feather's chart of Corleone Cosca activity, Vincenzo is a nephew of former boss Calogero lo Bue, and becomes a capo, himself.[7] This is unconfirmed. Cascio-10 23:18, 26 December 2016 (EST) They are distantly related through marriage.
In 1950, Vincenzo is a suspect in the murder of Placido Rizzotto, but is acquitted.[8]
Vincenzo is killed in 1957[6] on 24 February in Corleone.[1]
