Biography
Carmelo Cascio is born 22 April 1870 and baptized the next day as Carmelum. He is the third son of Leoluca Cascio and Giuseppa Raja to have the name Carmelo, indicating that his brothers with this name, born 1865 and 1869, each died before the next.
Carmelo's godparents are the same as his next oldest brother's, Giovanni Cardella and Domenica Gagliardo.
Carmelo dies at age five, on 13 February 1875. His death record indicates that his mother has died by this time.
