Biography

Marie was Métis.

Marie Philomène was born on 30 December 1867 in the parish of St. Norbert, Red River settlement.^[1] The daughter of Adrien Carrière and Philomène (Millet) Carrière.

Marie married Joseph Nicolas Jeannotte on 27 January 1892 in St. Alphonse, MB. They lived in the area for their entire lives where Marie worked as a teacher until she became a full-time homemaker.

Together they had at least 6 children that we know of.

Marie passed away on 8 March 1943 in Ste. Rose du Lac, Manitoba at the age of 75.^[2]
