Naoma Isabell "Oma" Callin was the daughter of Zimri G. Callin (1850-1907) and Minnie E. Parker (1864-1939), born on 4 Sep 1885 in Holgate, Henry County, Ohio. She grew up there and in Madison, Williams County, returning with her family to Weston, Wood County, after 1900.[1][2][3]
Oma married Clyde O Meek on 7 Nov 1906 in Monroe, Monroe County, Michigan. Clyde and Oma farmed in Wood County for many years. They had one son who died as an infant, but no other children until after they had moved to Waterville, Lucas County, outside of Toledo, where they had a daughter in 1931. They divorced soon after that, however.[4][5][6][7]
Clyde O Meek and Naoma B. "Oma" Callin had the following children:
Oma briefly married William H Hill (b. 1897) on 8 Feb 1934 in Wood County, Ohio, but remarried a Toledo barber named Friend Jinks Young (1889–1942) on 4 Mar 1936 in Lucas County, Ohio. Friend died in Toledo on 20 Sep 1942; Oma died there on 21 Jan 1951 at age 64 and was buried in Toledo Memorial Park in Sylvania, Lucas County, Ohio.[9][10][11][12]
