Henry was born in 1752. He was the son of John Brown and Ruth McQueen. He passed away in 1814.
There appears to be some confusion over two Henry Browns who were the sons of John Brown (1725-1810) and his brother George Brown (abt.1730-1812). The reason this profile is listed as the son of John and not his brother George is based on three factors: 1.) The presumed year of birth for this Henry is 1752, which is before the presumed year of his uncle George's marriage in about 1758, according to FAG; 2.) while not definitive, a big clue is in the order of the names of Henry's sons, his eldest son is John and he is followed by a Henry. Henry eventually names his youngest son George, not the normal naming convention of the era if his father had also been George; and 3.) finally, while the elder George Brown probably had a son named Henry, we don't know the name of said Henry's wife or any of his children, or if he even had any. Whereas this Henry Brown is known to have married Achsah (Sollers) Brown (abt.1755-) and had many children.
