Isabella Brodie (married name King) was born on 1 August 1807 in Turriff, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, United Kingdom, daughter of Isabella (Eddie) Brodie and Alexander Brodie.
She was baptised on 28 Aust 1807 in Turriff.[1]
She married Adam King on 25 February 1832 in Forglen, Banffshire, Scotland.[2] Their children were:[citation needed]
Isabella arrived in Australia as an assisted passenger on 'Merchant Prince' with her younger children. The ship sailed from Liverpool on 5 December 1857 and arrived in Melbourne on 14 March 1858. Isabella could not read or write.[3] Her husband Adam and the older children had already come out on the "Parisian" in 1854.
Isabella died on 3 September 1884 in Sale, Victoria, Australia, aged 77 years.[4] Her remains were buried on 5 September 1884 at Bendigo Cemetery.[citation needed]
