Hello Terry, I see you have uploaded the photo of Lauritz Borck and his wife. I presume you have the original copy which may have come through the Soper side of your family?

Hi Terry

After a long break, we are now getting the New Zealand Project back in action. Would you like to join the Kiwi Crew Discord server? This is where we are discussing how the project will be organised, though any major changes will be signposted in G2G. (Make sure you follow the new_zealand tag). There is no obligation to take part in challenges, but you may like to discuss NZ history and work with others to create quality New Zealand profiles. We’re a really friendly bunch.

When the merge of Edward Heath Robinson (Robinson-18059) and (Robinson-53292) has been completed by both owners, then her record will automatically link to his.

Hello cousin

The merge of Edward Heath Robinson has been completed. I have made updates to Lawrence Charles Robinson https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Robinson-1805 and added his wife's record - Mavis Lenore (Hurndell) Robinson

Can you confirm whether George Lawrence Athol Robinson (1924 - 2001) is the son of Edward Heath Robinson and Noreen Beatrice Wairua (Lee) Jefcoate?

Thanks, Terry Heath Bowden

Hello. I am doing some research for a friend, Kerry Kearney, descendant of Ann Kearney who came to NZ in the Mersey in 1862 with children. You list her husband in Armagh as Maxwell Kearney. Can you please tell me what the evidence is for this? Many thanks.

Though not always accurate, I sourced this from Geni - see

The child list was useful as a starter. When a child bears the same forenames as the father, that is a good clue to whether it is likely to be correct.

Thankyou for your help and proposing a merge. The details matched up and I accepted it. This new wikitreer couldn't be more grateful.

Hi Terry...I did an edit note on the profile of Henry William Thomas Sales...His parents are very likely Thomas Sales & Sarah Billingshurst Sales of Bromley, Kent England. They had a son Henry the right age who immigrated to New Zealand. Ancestry.com has a picture of Thomas Sales with writing on the back telling where their children lived as adults.

Hi Terry Bowden

You have requested a Merge between Bertie James Lewis and Robert James Lewis. What info do you have that these are the same people. You have Robert James Lewis died 1916 at the Somme. Bertie's brother Robert Henry Lewis died at the Somme in 1916. If you could get back to me on this it would be much appreciated. Garry Kenton Parkes

Thanks for the message

They must be the same, as they were born to the same parents in the same year, and as explained, Bertie is a contraction of Robert. So Bertie's name is actually Robert. They are currently both identified as having the same parents, and it is highly unlikely that they would have had two Robert's born in the same year. Bertie has a birth registration record and Robert has not.

Let me know if have any information to the contrary. Terry Bowden Auckland

I noticed that you had commented on my Bowden line. You and I are about the same age and our great grandfathers were about the same age, but afraid not the same person. My great grandfather was John William Bowden born in Brow Bottom, England in 1855. Yours was also an Englishman of the same vintage, but named William John Bowden. Mine was a fireman in Paterson, New Jersey at the Firehouse on Gould Street as a teamster (meaning driver of a team of horses that pulled the fire wagon).
Thanks. What you say is true.

I believe that the information that I added to this non-relative who shares my surname is nevertheless correct, right? That's in keeping with the interests of collaboration.

I watched the Netflix movie "The Irishman" last week, and got to know a little about the teamsters from that :-)

Hi

My g g grandfather William Bowden and his family emigrated to Australia in 1838 from Benenden in Kent. William’s father was also William, and his father before him was Job. They both died in Kent. Perhaps there is a connection. Cheers Narelle Grant (Bowden)

Hi Terry, I have never heard of any other Bowden members of the family that went to New Zealand. My James Bowden/Boden b c 1830 said to be born in England, but I have no data for where or of any of his parents and siblings. He is said to have emigrated to Canada circa 1844 at age 14 from Cardiff, but that is word of mouth handed down to my father. I will check out more Devonshire births to see if any one fits my James c 1830. He was a Blacksmith in Ontario Canada, by trade.

I've been trying to edit Annie Belmont Fielden. Want to put the info. about the 1911 census beneath the information about the 1901 census. The information is stuck at the bottom of the profile. When I go into edit, the information looks all right, but my changes don't show up in the public view. Really weird. Maybe you know more. I also added a reference for Annie's death.

My mother spent a great deal of effort trying to figure out what happened to her uncle, not realizing he had died in 1903. Her father was Herbert Goodwin who went to Canada in 1912.

Thanks for the information on Fanny Florence Fielden. I have this info on my private tree but have not updated my Wikitree entries as it is so difficult to upload and merge a Gedcom file. As a consequence my Wikitree entries are way out of date as I have now 6100 validated entries on my private tree. When Wikitree upgrades its merge facility I will add these to the world tree, the principle of which support.

PS I do not have any BOWDEN members in my tree .... yet
