Biography

Annie Benting was born in Shropshire, England.

Ann was born in 1879^[1]. She is the daughter of Edward Benting and Mary Evans.

Ann attended Hope school Nr. Minsterley, and on 15th April 1890, along with her younger sister Mary, transferred to Smethcote school, shropshire^[2]

Ann was present at her grandfather Edward's family home, The Rock during the 1881 census along with her mother, father and brother John. For full details click the Rock link.

1891 Wentnor ^[3]

After the death of Annie's mother Mary in 1891 Annie and her sisters went to London and in the 1901 census she was living at 45 Welbeck Street, St. Marylebone, London, age 21 and working as a parlour maid for Henry Allbutt, a widowed Land Agent^[4] Annie's sisters Clara and Amy were in an orphanage in Reigate.

In 1903 Annie married to Robert Charles Olding in London^[5] and died in 1917 in London^[6]
