Jerome Leonard Bechler was born on 25 February 1923.

Jerome and Helen Adella Kempf were married. Helen was born in 1924. She was the daughter of Frederick William Kempf and Anna (Retzlaff) Kempf. Their known children were:

West Bend News, Sept. 24, 1980, s. 1, p. 4, c. 1. Jerome L. Bechler, 57, of 1729 Koller Lane, West Bend, died Tuesday, Sept. 23, at the Veterans Hospital, Wood, Wis. He was born Feb. 25, 1923, in the Town of forest, Fond du Lac County, and was a West Bend resident most of his life. He married Helen Kempf in New Fane on Aug. 8, 1942. He was a veteran of WWII and served in the U.S. Army. He belonged to the VFW Post at Hartford and used to own and operate a dry cleaning store. Survivors include his wife; 14 children, Doris (Ronald) Fick of Milwaukee, Yvonne (Vernon) Hafferman of Milwaukee, Dennis (Marlene) of West Bend, Donald (Shirley) of West Bend, Richard (Jane) of Kewaskum, Barbara (Curtis) Carter of West Bend, Mary (Ronald) Sartler of West Bend, Bonny, Ronald, Randy, Dawn, Denise, Jerome, and Timothy, all at him; 15 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. marion Roehl of Campbellsport and Adell (Elmer) Teschendorf of Massachusetts; his father, Arnold Bechler of Campbellsport; one brother, LeRoy (Marcella) of Kewaskum, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 8 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, West Bend. Rev. Roger Janke will officiate and burial will be in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend Visitation at the Techtman-Myrhum Funeral Home, West Bend, will be Friday from 4-6:30 p.m. and at the church from 7 p.m. until time of services
