- "James W Barrett Funeral Planned"
- "Funeral for James W. Barrett, 74, a Jones farmer, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday Assembly of God church, Jones. Barrett died Sunday in a sanitorium at 1718 N Broadway. Burial will be in IOOF cemetery, Jones. Baggerley Funeral home, Edmond, is in charge of arrangements.
- Barrett came to the Jones Community 15 years ago from Arkansas. He and Mrs. Barrett celebrated their fifty-second wedding anniversary October 25.
- Survivors include his wife, six sons, four daughters and two sisters. The sons and daughters are Roy, 2018 SE 11;, Virgil, E Reno; Leslie, 3636 S Kelley; Ira, McPherson, Kan.; Martin, Johnson City, Tenn.; Charles, Blackwell; Mrs Robert Malloy, SE 15 and Grand Blvd.; Mrs. Elsie Shackleford, Corpus Christi; Mrs. Alma Berch, Artesia, Calif., and Mrs. Eula Parsons, Olivehurst, Calif.
- The two sisters are Mrs. Emma Blancett, Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Agnes Chappell, Dallas."
