Research Notes

Awbrey Medieval Line: Dr. Myron Evans' book O Hudd Ei Ddoe, Vole 1 discusses findings of "genealogist and historian Sir Arthur Turner-Thomas on the medieval Awbrey line....He advised that the line back to Thomas Awbrey, Cwnstabl Coch (born about 1299) is authentic and reliable and appears in Bartrum, but before that is not reliable." Although deemed unreliable, the book includes a good overview and discussion of available sources and research, including Janet Ariciu's research.[5]

Abercynrig, Brecon (mentions Richard Awbrey in C15): http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/wa-6753-abercynrig-llanfrynach#.VYr14UaCJLM

Aberkenfig, Bridgend (Wikipedia, Aberkenfig) is a different place, apparently. See this post in a discussion, which says "The Abercynrig that is home to the Awbrey family is located about 3 miles southeast of Brecon"

With "[6]" saying "near Brecknock", then "Aberkynvrig" should be transcribed as Abercynrig, not Aberkenfig (or Abercynfrig).

Awbrey-16 and Aubrey-32 appear to represent the same person because: same wife and son; birth years are within 10 years & birth location similar. Please merge. Thanks!
