Biography
Eloise (Ella) was born on 1 Apr 1865 in Cordova, Rock Island, Illinois and died on 29 Jun 1931 at Sterling, Whiteside, Illinois.
Ella married John Quincy Adams on 4 Jul 1862 (the 1900 census shows they were married in 1864). The married ended at John's death (based on census records, sometime before 1920). George and Caroline had eight children.

Research Notes
- There are census records showing that Ella was born in Canada. The 1870 census records of her parents show they were in Illinois and I looked for an 1860 census for George and although there is one showing a George living in Shandaken, Ulster, New York I have been able to find additional sources for his parents being Robert and Sarah but if this is George Hiram Avery, then chances are his daughter Ella was not born in Canada Diss-96 07:35, 24 September 2023 (UTC)
