Biography
Annie (Armstead) Harris is a part of US Black heritage.
Annie was born in 1896. She is the daughter of William Armstead and Rosa Harris. In 1900, the family was living in Arlington County, Virginia.[1]
By 1910, Annie was living with her mother, siblings, and half-siblings in Alexandria Ward 3, Alexandria (Independent City), Virginia.[2]
Annie Armstead married Elmore Harris, son of Elijah and Laura Harris, on 23 July 1915 in Alexandria, Virginia.[3]
Research Note
William and Rosa's daughter, Ella, was born on 29 Aug 1896 in Alexandria, Virginia.[4], and may be the Annie listed in the 1900 census above, or possibly Annie's twin who may have passed away. The 1900 census stated that Rosa had given birth to 8 children but only seven were living as of 1900.[1]
