He was born on 20 Nov 1843 in Franklin County, Missouri, USA and his parents were Thomas Jefferson Armistead, Sr. and Emily Ann Grooms (1827-1853).

He served in American Civil War as a replacement for his father. [1]

Thomas Jefferson Armistead, Jr. married on 09 August 1865 to Sarah Jane Bandy (1854-1926).

He died on 24 Oct 1922 and was buried at Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery in Sullivan, Franklin County, Missouri, USA. [2]
