This monument on the Gettysburg Battlefield marks the approximate place where Brigadier General Lewis A. Armistead was fatally wounded. The wall behind the monument marks the Union lines. It reads:

Brigadier General LEWIS A. ARMISTEAD C.S.A. FELL HERE July 3, 1863
