The best I've come up with for an answer to this question is Daniel and Amelia (Emily) Moon who lived in Pownal, VT. She was born about 1830 and first married (can't find that date, either) about 1857 (based on date of her first child's birth) to William R. Scriven of Petersburgh, NY. Looking up census data for her has been no help because the censuses only list head of household up to 1840, and I think she was on her own by 1850, since she's nowhere to be found in NY or VT 1850 censuses. (I only ended up with Daniel and Amelia Moon from a Find-a-Grave doc with nothing to back it up, that, and the proximity of their residence (Pownal, VT) to where she was first married (Petersburgh, NY)
