I'm trying to connect the dots between my known ancestor, Berry Lewis Holland (b.5 June 1841 - d. 21 Aug 1923), and Charles. I DNA match with 33 of the descendants of Charles M Holland, through his various children, and I'm confident that Berry is his descendants, but through whom? I perceive that the "Elias Holland" I have now, may be a ghost, and that Berry Lewis Holland could be a descendant of another child of Charles M. Holland, but I'm coming up short on specifics. The 33 DNA matches seems compelling to me that I'm on the right track, but it's proving difficult to connect the dots between Berry Lewis Holland of North Carolina, and Charles M. Holland.

Holland-9172 and Holland-4659 in the Connection finder, results in Berry Holland is 2 Degrees from Charles Holland.

Berry Holland's father is Elias Holland and Elias' father is Charles Holland. Charles Miller Holland Sr. born April 2, 1758 in Frederick, MD is the father of Elias Holland and Elias was born about 1790. Elias died after 1850.

Frank - thank you for the answer.  I'm confident of Berry Lewis Holland, and confident that Berry is a descendant of Charles Holland, as I have 33 DNA matches over in Ancestry.com that only appear to have Charles as the common ancestor with me, and my Father.  I'm really trying to find records to conclusively tie Berry with Elias and Elias with Charles.

These certainly put Elias in the right place at the right time to be the Father of Berry Lewis Holland, but nothing that I would call conclusive at this point.
