Need more sources for my second great grandparents.

I have tried to find out more about my 2nd great grandparents, Robert Field. I can only find records of him in the 1870 census and on my grandfather's death certificate. I found in the Field geneology book, Joseph T. Field lived in the same area and is buried in the same cemetery as my ancestor, Fairview Cemetery in Middletown, NJ. I have been to that cemetery and my ancestors grave in a "Poorer" part of the cemetery than the rest of the Field family. the Field family established the cemetery and there is a big Memorial but my ancestors are not buried there.

Any ideas or access to records that could help me find out more?

Actually the 2 sources that you have are perfectly OK for that profile. But there are some details missing.

According to the census record you can add a birth year of 1831 - as an approximate date - for now.

Also you dont have a link to the FAG record. Could you add a link to his direct FAG pagem please?

And a transcription of the death certificate would also be helpful as well.

And dont forget to add in all the children as listed in the 1870 census record. You have their ages and years of birth and their names.

If you wont have the mothers maiden name, that can wait for now until you do find it.
what is an FAG number? I have his birth year as approximately 1832, could be 1831 but until I know, is it ok to leave it as is?
