Question about Ashbel Olmstead

In my family tree. I found an Ashbel Olmsteade as a 21st great-grandfather for me.   However, going by other information I found, he would have been born in the 1300s, not the later dates mentioned.  Am I looking at the wrong family or  wrong information or what?  Thank you.

Wikitree has 7 Ashbel Olmsteads, all born in Connecticut in the 1700s.

Thank you.  I'm now suspecting I may have two different Olmstead families mixed together in my tree research --- one group from England in the 1300s and one in Connecticut in the 1700s.  Wow.

There are 14 known Ashbel Olmste(a)ds in the US since 1632. The family name Olmsteade (with the added "e") only exists in a few records in England.
