Is it possible to embed a Google Map in a profile?

I worked out where my ancestor's land was located on Google Maps. (It's here: https://goo.gl/maps/8dFNCptMAXCQ1KWi9)

I'd like to embed a map in his profile, so people could click on the map and navigate around the area. I tried using the iframe that Google provides, but it didn't take.

I could, alternatively, use a screen shot of the map, along with a Google Maps link. But I'd like to actually embed the map, if I can.

Is that possible?

I’m quite sure you can embed an image (of a map) in a profile which is hyperlinked to a url.

You need to upload your “GoogleMapImage.jpg” to WikiTree then enter the following into your profile:

{{Image|file=GoogleMapImage.jpg|size=500|label=This image links to Google Map|link=https://...ie url to Google map}}

Change “GoogleMapImage.jpg” and “This image links to Google Map” and “https://...ie url to Google map” to your information.

I don't think that's quite what I'm looking for in this case, because Google doesn't provide a static map image.

It provides an interactive map that will update as Google updates landmarks, and can be zoomed in and out without leaving the page (or, in this case, the profile).

I can use a screenshot of the map if I need to. But I think the key here is that I want to use an iframe, and I'm not sure if I can do that in Wikitree or not.
I don't believe you can.  The way would be to upload a screenshot and then link it like Peter describes.
Selecting as best answer:

Even though this answer does not give the exact outcome the OP is looking for, as SJ noted, a live embed is not currently possible (due to iframe and other HTML tags not being supported) and Peter has provided the closest "look and feel" answer to what the OP is looking for that WikiTree can support.
Thanks everyone! I'll go ahead and use that static image and link.

Use the hyperlink located between the tree and W icons.

Add this:

https://www.google.com/maps/place/36.658652,-80.8267193

Use this:[https://www.google.com/maps/place/36.658652,-80.8267193 map location]

and it will come up as a reference link.

It is not perfect but it is close.

Where are the tree and W icons located?

Thanks and sincerely,
When on a profile, in edit mode, the icons are just above the box where you edit the profile, and just below where it says "Edit text." The icon Chris is refering to looks like a chain link.

Hope this helps.
