not connected to main tree, yet parents and sibs are?

Question

Is there a glitch with the connections on wikiTree? I've got two profiles one I added last night Jean Wilson Pulver and this profile I've added today Lloyd Wilson. Both of the profiles are showing as unconnected, yet in both cases their parents and siblings are connected to the tree.

Just read it, thanks Reuben 

Since everyone explained about the software I had figured it must have been updated during the early hours that the. 

Still unsure why the one profile is showing in the Unconnected profiles list while the other profiles I've created since don't show up. That's what's thrown me. I assumed that the unconnected profiles list would either show all profiles I'd created since the last connection software run,  or only profiles that were unconnected when the software ran, if you follow what I'm saying?

I think it is just a matter to wait a little more, Becky.

Example, Jean Wilson Pulver:

Sibling	Creation time
Reid Eugene	19:46	Connected
Dorothy Fern	20:13	Connected
Charles Ray	20:59	Connected

Mother	21:54	Connected
Jean Wilson	23:46	Unconnected

It seems that Jean Wilson is the only profile you created since the last connection software run.

Hi Reuben, no Jean isn't the only profile I've created since the last connection software ran. See: Grace Wilson, she's now showing as connected. Eleen McClellan, also connected, Lloyd Wilson, connected. Those three profiles were all made after Jean Wilson. Jean is still the only profile showing in my unconnected profiles list.

There's apparently a problem with Unconnecteds who actually are connected (like Jean, who is now) and appearing on Unconnected lists.  Ales says it will be corrected in the next data dump in a few days.

Thank you for the update Ros , I can see Jean is connected now, just still showing up in the unconnected list. Thought I was going crazy!

Becky, the connection software is only run once a day, so connections won't show the moment they are made.  If you wait a day, they should be there.

Answer 2

It can take up to 24 hours for the connections to display. If the profiles you connected to are connected, then these two are also.

Give them 24 hours for the update to run.  Then they will be connected.

Thanks everyone, I was just confused as i'd created Charles Pulver at 2.59 am this morning and he immediately had the degrees from connections at the bottom of his profile. I created his brother Jean Wilson Pulver at 5.46 am this morning and there is no degrees from connections at the bottom of his profile. The connection software must have run sometime between 3 am and 5.46 am this morning, which is why it confused me. Also the profile for Jean WIlson Pulver is showing in my unconected profiles list, which made me wonder why it's showing there as it's obviously only appeared there after the connection software ran? Thanks again everyone hopefully it will rectify on the next connection software run
