Is there a way to connect profiles in Family Search and Wikitree ?

I believe you can export and import a GEDCOM, but it is more work than it is worth.  I just pick up the sources and paste them on Wikitree.  GEDCOMs need to be compared so there are no duplicates created, then you have a monumental task of cleaning each profile and you still have to write the biography and add inline citations.  Better to create each profile individually and check the Family Search research as you go (many very bad profiles and trees there).

If you mean a way to connect a profile on FamilySearch to its equivalent on Wikitree then yes, by using the WikiTree-FamilySearch Connections app to search for matches and connect

Cool!  I never knew about that feature.  Of course, it is no substitute for adding sources here and linking them to facts.

It puts a link on the Wikitree profile beneath "Reseach" on the right. I find it useful as it shows what details are on the Wikitree profile and not on the FarmilySearch profile and vice versa so I can add information to make them match - after checking the sources of couse!

If I am not mistaken, EditFamilySearch only adds the link from WT to FS.  Doing that does make it easier to find when using fs-match where, if there is not already an FS to WT link, one will find a "Link in FamilySearch" button to add the link.

For completeness, one could also go the FS history (profile) and do an 'add source" then supply the URL for the WT profile and an appropriate citation.  It can be faster than fs-match if one is only doing one link.
