Before uploading, copying information from Family Search or other websites, please make sure that the information is correct and the sources accurate.

As Family Search is a collaborative tree, that does not require sourcing there are thousands of profiles that are incorrect.

The profiles are often conflated with contradictory information added by several users over time.

The WikiTree Sourcer extension has a feature to save the person data from a FamilySearch profile and use it to create a WikiTree profile. If you set the right options it will automatically include all the sources from the FamilySearch profile with narrative sentences and even census tables. See here for documentation.

Or, if the profile already exists on WikiTree you can just do "Build All Citations" in Sourcer and paste those into the WikiTree profile.

This provides a good starting point for a WikiTree profile. You should always check the results and see if they can be improved. Sometimes the sources from FS can be replaced with better ones - creating a citation on Find-a-Grave directly rather than citing the FamilySearch Find-A-Grave index for example.
