Request - WikiTree Sourcer support Australian BDM

Feature request - Victoria BDM

Start from: https://www.bdm.vic.gov.au/research-and-family-history/search-your-family-history

On the search result you can click a row and it gives you a screen for a single record; that screen would be great if Wikitree Sourcer could capture it.

For NSW BDM the start page is: https://familyhistory.bdm.nsw.gov.au/lifelink/familyhistory/search

and this time on each search result you can tick a checkbox, so WT Sourcer could capture the checked row.

If it helps, these are both supported by WikiTree BEE. I mean, if you go to a record page on one of these sites and hit the BEE icon, you should get a good citation. The BEE also supports Tasmania and I've just added Western Australia, Queensland, and ACT to the Preview version, so they should be on the regular version soon.
Are you likely to add New Zealand BDM as well?
I'll take a look and see what I can do.
Gary: I've added NZ BDM to BEE.  It will be live in BEE Preview soon and then the regular one after that.
thanks, wasn't aware the BEE had source citation as well. (Probably knew this at one point in the past, and forgot...)
Matt: it was actually the original purpose of the extension.

I have it on the request for Sourcer new sites list here. I do plan to get to it - in fact the Australian BDM sites are probably next on my list for new sites to support. Currently I am working on some new features, small improvements and bug fixes. But I may be able to get to working on new sites in a few weeks time.

Do you have any examples on how you would like citations to look for these sites? Are there example citation templates that the Australia project uses?

I have a vague memory of hearing that some of these sites were in danger of losing government funding and closing down? Is that the case for any of these ones?
It was Trove that had funding issues.

The AP does have a page for example citations.  They are only examples, not set in stone requirements.  Each member may still use their own preferred method of citing sources.

Thanks Melanie.
My personal preference is something succinct (as opposed to taking up a whole page on the sources section) . These two registries don't support permalinks so we have to scrape and transcribe the data shown.
