Merge two orphan profiles, now has six PMs

Question

I merged two orphan profiles together, no merge had been proposed prior; as both were orphan profiles, system allowed merge with no approvals; now the profile has six PM’s.

I was looking for a totally different profile, did a search by last name in a certain location, and saw three profiles with same name and dates in listing, so I merged.

How did the profile get six PM’s because of the merge?

Do you know if any of those managers were on the trusted list prior to the merge?

We made a small update to the merging process today, and it's very possible a bug was introduced.

no, i do not know. just happened upon the profiles, and only noticed that they were orphans when I did the compare. did not look at trusted list prior to merge.

@Jamie, yes, I think so. The present profile managers were probably on the trusted list of the merged-away profile, Godfrey-1699. They are on the trusted list of other orphaned profiles by the same creator. See Devall-47's trusted list.

Sure looks weird, either the Gremlins got in or the system has ‘burped’. Maybe in a day or two it will right itself.

It looks like the new profile managers were in the trusted list of the merged-away profile before. At least it seems likely, they are on the trusted list of profiles created by the same person.
