Trying to determine if we can disconnect his da. Joan, and there's very little information I can find about his family. He was a younger son of Robert Collier, he was of Yarlet & acquired Earl's Hide from his older brother. As far as I can tell, he didn't have any heirs and all the property this family owned in Staffordshire was owned by a different family in the 17th century.
A Christopher Collier of Yarlet apparently did marry Mary Aston da. of Sir Walter Aston of Tixhall (who probably is not his current spouse Mary Aston w/ the LNAB Knight) & all I know is she was living in 1596 and he apparently died in 1609 (not 1594).
It seems weird with the close connection with the Staffordshire gentry Joan would marry someone in Somerset & the Harvey origins are also mysterious. Thanks!
